Ina Garten Shops Here

Many of you know that I'm a Food Network junkie.  In my defense,  I'm selective I think.  One of my favorites is Ina Garten's Barefoot Contessa.   Ina and husband Jeffrey have an apartement à Paris. Her shows from there are my favorites. Quelle surprise. Of course I had to visit  E. Dehellerin, the purveryor of all things a serious or even a ho hum cook might need ( or just WANT!),  and more importantly, the place Ina goes for her copper cookware etc.  I have featured their friendly salesmen here.  Today, a window display.  Some of you are drooling, others........not so much.

Were you able to resist the wares, V? I hope not. ;)

Your photo just makes me want to see more of the amazing ustensiles de cuisine! I bet that they have items that I didn't even know that I needed. How nice to be able to hop over and get just the right tart pan or pastry tube!

Such variety, such shine ... makes me want a bigger suitcase and a bigger kitchen. Just added to my "next time" list.

Bon weekend,

Marie

WEll Genie and Marie, you know I travel light these days so you're right Marie, a larger suitcase is in order if we are going to shop here.

This makes me want to get in the kitchen and rattle those pots and pans! (V—the ex and I sold our Manhattan loft to Sara Moulton. You should see her batterie de cuisine!)

Put me into the drooling category! I'd go broke if you let me even within a mile of that shop. I already see a dozen things I want.

Nine trips to Paris and I never seem to get there when they're open...HOWEVER my dear Paris Mentor, Marilynn, gave me a very heavy copper Pommes Anna pan comme ça:

Shall I will it to you?

I'm with the droolers, for I dearly love eating the delectable creations which can be made using such tools... hope all is well with you Virginia, I've been away too long, was on the road travelling. Am back home now, and hope to be around more often than in the past few weeks.

I like to cook, but it ever ceases to amuse me when I see some of the items on the market.

Another great shot!
Wonderful looking place but intimidating to shop there for me...
MUST never ask for a German knife in a Fr shop!!

Carol,
Oh don't be intimidated. The guys that work there are terrific. The last visit one got this enormous pan and paddle and posed out front. See my link to that post!
Since I'm not a baker, I look at that place like it's a "Baker's Museum"! :)

V - Love this shot. I've had the pleasure of shopping there. Most of the copper you saw in my kitchen is from there. The group I was with went shopping and came back with mini Eiffel Towers and I went to Dehellerin and came back with pans and knives - French ones. You are right - they are charming and HELPFUL - don't anyone hesitate to go. A nice budget helps too.

Judy,
How great that you went here and took home some real Paris souvenirs!
