Café Mouffetard
Actually this might be considered an archive shot. I took this one last summer on one of our ( twice+) daily trips up rue Arbaleté from rue Mouffetard. The street art you see in the background, was being painted over this past June when we were there.
I think our blog friend Julie, from Sydney Eye, might just be sitting right here as she and friends are staying in the neighborhood this visit!

It is this kind of shots that I like. Beautifully done in B&W !
Thanks for sharing.

I hope Julie's sitting there right now ~ wouldn't that be wonderful!
Any of your b/w photos taken in outdoor cafés just take me away. I hope that Julie is enjoying her time in Paris drinking in all that it has to offer.
I think I recognize that mural.

Yes, I recognized the art work in the background...the one with graffiti on it. And my daughter bought your print of the intriguing lady who is so full of life in her dance. She has it hanging in her house and it is beautiful!

Liz,
How wonderful to know your daughter bought it. I hope she is enjoying it.
Genie,
Yep!:)
Wong,
Thank you so much.
Shsh,
I hope so too.
I wouldnt mind sitting there myself
Thanks, V, for this evocative b&w! This is exactly where I'd like to be, enjoying a nice glass of white—instead of where I am, eating lettuce at my desk at work. :~{ Hope your friend Julie is having a wonderful time.
Indeed, Julie had a wonderful time around the Rue Descartes end of Rue Mouffetard, right behind the Pantheon. I am now finishing my second to last day on Barcelona's La Rambla before enduring the 23+ hour flight back to Sydney. Shall have worked out how to share my zillions of images by the time I touch down. What a boon this little netbook has been. Shall return to Paris in the final week of August 2011 but for a month of singular flaneuring this time. Hang on to yer hats for that one ...
The walls are even more animated than the patrons!
Julie! How grand. Had a look at your Paris photos on your Sydney blog last night. They are spectacular!
You know I love all your photos, Virginia, and your Paris shots are my favorites, of course.
It's fun to think of you there, Julie. (It's even more fun to think of me there, but I digress.)
So very Paris. Love it.
