I have been fascinated with the beautiful and often elaborate city halls in France. This one in Troyes was so over the top with its fabulous blue doors and flowers. You might even enjoy going here to pay your parking ticket ??
( Do they have parking tickets in France???)

Beautiful picture, I like it!
Greetings
Beautiful composition.
And have a beautiful weekend.
Oh, oh, oh, I love this {you knew I would, didn't you, V!} And yes, it would ease the pain of a parking ticket, something I doubt I'll ever have to worry about in Paris.
Or anywhere in France. Because I'm so law abiding, of course. :)
A beautiful place to go and watch others pay parking tickets. (Yes, they do exist in France, especially Paris. I read that in 2003, 8 million fines were distributed and they usually begin at around $15-20.)
I'll never get a parking ticket in France (or anywhere else) either—not because I'm so law-abiding like Shell though. I can picture a jolie mariée posing post-ceremony in front of these gorgeous doors. Wonderful shot, V!
Makes me want to go to Sherwin Williams TODAY! Lovely shade of blue!!!

My parent's friends from there are visiting them right now. They keep encouraging us to go there (Troyes) and stay with these people in their B&B. It looks beautiful. Might be worth the trip!
Oui, nous avons des parcmètres en France! A Paris, il y en a presque dans toutes les rues maintenant!
Les couleurs de la porte de l'Hôtel de Ville et des fleurs sont magnifiques!
I wonder if they planted those flowers particularly to match the door. If so, good on them because it makes for a beautiful photo. :)
Don't know about Paris but they have parking tickets in London!!! We saw a few cars with "boots" on them...with the explanation that they were overdue on their parking tickets!!! Had to pay the fines to move the car! One of the cars with the boot was a Bentley...and apparently, the same car had been booted many times before...ostensibly because he was visiting his lady friend all hours of the night and not bothering with permits...
Virginia, I have a thing for blue doors in France. Perhaps the original wood was exquisite but the blue just calls to me! The color-combo of the flower planters are to die for!
Why do I love this photo, let me count the ways ... It's gorgeous acrchitecture, it's a door, it's blue, it's full of flowers, did I mention that it was blue??? Must go to Troyes ... guess I'm just going to have to live in France for some time after retirement!
What a door! I love the colour and the contast with the flowers.
Bien fait.
