Sketching

French Stranger #69

The Musée d'Orsay is a grand place for artists and students alike to have some quiet time to sit and sketch.  Last summer, I chatted with this American student, taking a fe minutes to capture a memory on paper.

That is a creative framing technique. I like it.

Virginia, I love the soft colors and angle of this shot. D'Orsay is a great museum for the architecture as well as the art and you captured both.

What a lovely slant on things, V! I'll bet that young lady was having the time of her life.

Yes, you've put a wonderful slant on this subject, V! I know envy is not a pretty thing, but when I see people sketching in a museum, I just wish I had that talent.

Have a great time Starman!!! A couple of my friends will be arriving in a few days.

What an angle.....How did you manage a photo at the d'Orsay? The guards were out when I was there in April.

Wow. I'm a little dizzy. Did she know she was being photographed?

What a bold angle to put on this. I think it works because the colours harmonise so there aren't too many additional distractions.

Perfect angle!

As for the d'Orsay, Karin and I went in August and there were "No Photography" signs up all over the place but the guards didn't stop me from taking any pictures.

V, when we were there in June, there were big signs everywhere saying no photography and they were enforcing it!
