Located on Île de la Cité, Place Dauphine is an historical and lovely spot.
And we have a winner from yesterday's What Is It? Where Is It?
Kim from Seattle Daily Photo, and L'eoprnn were the first to correctly name the dome of the Sacre Coèur and what it was. Thank you all for entering and now when you're in Paris, you MUST climb the endless stepsn to the dome. If I can do it twice, you can too.

Gosh, I should have known that! Well done to Kim and L'eoprnn.
Another beauty today, Virginia.
Omg lovely place! when can i get myself there :/
Beautiful picture of a beautiful place. Love these buildings.
Have a nice day.
Berit.
Hi Virginia .. Love your new header :-)
Oh yes I have climbed to the top of dome too, when my friend and I had our first visit to Paris last year!! Not a lot of people know that you can climb up there ..
A little exercise in French? Yes? So, here we are:
Juste derrière toi quand tu prends cette photo, Virginia, s'élève le Palais de Justice. Et parfois, avec un peu de chance, sur cette Place Dauphine, on peut assister à des parties de pétanque entre juges, avocats et autres!
Bonne journée!
If I were to try climbing the steps to the dome, there would be an angry crowd lined up behind me, so I think I'll pass on that.
Wonderful buildings and sooo quiet!
Charming little spot which you captured so well. Love the soft colors of the change of season.

Alice,
My tutor comes here today. Perhaps we can translate together. I got about half of it! :)

Starman,
My first trip up, my daughter and granddaughter left me and went on up. I poked along, and some folks went around me. The last trip up, Janet , Maya and Peter provided needed encouragement and I was able to keep up.
Ahhh .... lovely shot, I am not usually a sepia lover but this is wonderful. I am guessing it was early and so no one was about ...
Mmmmmmm.
Nice!!!
Always and forever one of my favorite spots in Paris—thanks for capturing it so beautifully, V!
My first Paris trip was with a high school tour group. My second was rush-rush. My third trip will be mine and I'll go to these lovely places and enjoy them with leisure.
je suis desolée que j'ai raté ces très chic jouers!:)
One of the most underrated "places" in all of Paris. Which is good, in a way, because it remains intimate rather than inundated.
What a lovely photo for this time of the year.
Eerily deserted, hauntingly beautiful.

I've come back to gaze at this one...I LOVE the deserted beauty of it!!
