Sunday Church Series - The View From Our Room

Each morning when Mary and I awoke to this view and the sound of the bells chiming, we pinched ourselves.  One day I hopped up and got my camera.  I just had to capture the view from our bed!
The Église Saint-Roch was directly across a very narrow little street. What a delight!

I guess there must be worse views to have in Paris ! Hope the bells didn't start chiming too too early in the morning though, sleeping in in the morning is sometimes nice also... before going down to the corner café for... café. And croissants. Or bringing them back to have in bed.

I would really like for that view to be my view some day ... Bon dimanche, Virginia!

When in Paris it does seem as if one has entered into some magical fairytale requiring a pinch every now and then to be sure it's real.

And your Hotel is..........???????

Do you like it? Would you recommend it? How pricy is it? Details, Details, Details, it's all in the Details!

Such a delightful church! For some reason the top photo on wiki makes it look as if it could be in Venice. How did you like your hotel? I am trying to find something for April and so far I am thinking of my old standby Grands Hommes but would like to consider others.

Lovely! If I can awake to the sound of church bells I don't care how early they rouse me. Hope to stay in this charming apartment myself one day.

Oh mes amis, forgive me for assuming you all knew about this wonderful apartment. If you look back at some previous posts you will read more. If you are interested in renting the apartment, email me and I will give you Janeen's email address! And for the record, we loved the bells although a few mornings, after very late nights, we wanted to throw a pillow! HA

I think that I have about ten photos of this same view as it is hard to resist... I kept having to pinch myself to see if this view and the ringing of the bells (beginning at 8am with almost 45 rings to start the day) was real... It was cold outside in early December but seeing snow on these ledges and roofs was worth it!

So beautifully composed! Don't you just love old narrow streets?! Well, not exactly to live at... I really need my privacy! LOL!
