Waiting for a Euro
This man was sitting outside the entrance of the beautiful Église Saint-Germain-des-Pres, quietly reading as he waited for a euro or two in his cup. I don't wish to pass judgement here. I've not been in this position...I'm blessed.

I'm blessed, too, Virginia. Perhaps he feels that way as well. It's a lovely peaceful spot for a quiet read.
I think he's brilliant. He's not begging, just waiting for stupid tourists to give him money.
I can’t remember when I saw someone read in his situation in the US. I just read yesterday that 45 million American are operating at a 4th grade education level and can barely read. At least he is reading. Nice photo too.
Great photo V...very pensive...
Even the homeless/beggars of Paris are charming .. look at his comfy situpon!
He looks peaceful. I'd probably be one of Starman's stupid tourists.
I think he had a really relaxing time...
Great shot!
Well, this time I'm afraid I do agree with Starman. But it's a great capture, V, whatever the backstory.
What a lovely photograph, perfect lighting.
I do not know what to think about the situation but the photographic composition is great here
