Musique Dans Les Rues IV - The Bass Player

The bass player is the last of this series. I hope you've enjoyed it.

I am pleased to introduce my Francophile readers to a new blog that I've recently found. Keith Eckstein, my new best friend in France, at A Taste of Garlic has a delightful blog and has recently reviewed PTML! I am very flattered Keith. Thank you for your kind words and hilarious review of my blog! I'm amazed to learn that you found my blog "seriously seductive! " Well, how about that!

"Seriously seductive" ~ va va voom!!! It's a fun review by Keith, and no wonder he's more than a little bit in love with PTML. Congrats, dear Virginia.

On the subject of today's photo, is it just me, or does your bass player look like Lee Marvin on a good day?

He reminds me of the actor James Coburn ...

Yeah, I think Daryl is right, he looks an awful lot like a younger James Coburn. And he looks like he's really into whatever they're playing.

Hi Virginia, after a grueling week at work am just getting here... to this great series of street music... Wish we could hear it too.

Isn't Keith Eckstein something, he is really assiduous at tracking down blogs about France... he found me a while back, gosh only knows how...

With a little luck I may get to meet Peter in a week or so, I hope so anyway...

owen,
Indeed he is! Now you and Peter must meet and then when I return to Paris (sigh!) we will all three have to find a time to meet together! Let's plan on it.

Doh, James Coburn ~ of course!!! James Coburn on a typical day, not Lee Marvin on a good day. :)

Alors, vous avez un blog “très séduisant” ? quite true. It was a joy to come back and look at your last posts of street musicians. I have been away on a trip to San Antonio, Texas and did take some photographs of street musicians there, but they were mariachis – I think it is what they call them there. For my birthday yesterday we ate in a German deli in downtown San Antonio – no French pastries there! So today we went to my favorite French bakery, right here in our town and bought a great selection – the one au Grand Marnier was a “délice.” If you ever come this way, you must try it, here is the site – do click on their pastries: http://www.douceurdefrance.com/ and the owners are French (from around La Rochelle.)
