Marché aux Puces VII
Today ends our mini series at the Marché aux Puces. I"ll leave you with one of the most unusual booth that we've ever found, Tombées du Camion (fell off the truck). Actually, I read about their shop in Montmartre years ago and we tracked it down. Now they have several booths at the flea market as well. If you're looking for out of the ordinary finds, this is your place. It defies description.

Vieux et Nouveau
Just as there was restoration work at Notre Dame de Paris, there is ongoing work at almost every church in Paris. Église Saint-Germain-des-Prés, one of Paris' oldest churches has benn in the midst of repair for several years. This photo seems to say it all.

Les trésors de Paris - Sainte-Chapelle
The fires at Notre Dame this week, made me more mindful of all the other historical, religious, architectural treasures I think we take for granted in Paris. I've only visited Sainte-Chapelle once in 2008. I hope I will be able to visit Paris again and spend time in this beautiful sacred space.

Bonnes nouvelles!
We woke today to learn that the fires have all been extinguished and that much of the interior did not suffer the damage that seemed inevitable. Hearing that the Rose Windows, the cross, the organ, and much more were saved is really unbelievable.
Tonight I will share a collection of images that I found yesterday while pouring through my archives. These images brought me comfort. I hope they will do so for you as well.
Thank you for the lovely comments yesterday. I appreciate them every one.

Musée Rodin, Meudon FR
Rodin's home, studio, and burial site, as well as a small museum are just a Métro ride to the town of Meudon. From the Métro, we took a taxi up the hill to the home and after, walked down for lunch. This day, there was a special celebration of the 100th anniversary of his death. It was drizzling rain but well worth the trip.
For the next several days, I will do a mini series of our visit.

Sainte-Chapelle de Vincennes
The chapel at Chateau Vincennes has undergone a lovely restoration. It's a nice trip just outside of Paris on the Métro.

Photographe parisien
This Paris photographer is usually set up right here by the Saint-Germain- des- Prés church. He's quite good and I recommend stopping by to see his work. Buy something! Photographers always need customers.

Theme Day Runner UP
Yesterday was City Daily Photo Theme Day and the theme for April was YELLOW. I posted my entry but wanted to share the runner up. La Macaron Ladurée Paris' délicieux tour des macarons was tempting.
