The Heart of Paris is Broken

We all grieve the loss of this historic cathedral tonight. This beautiful statue of Pope John Paul II is located just below the rose window facing the Seine.

At the request of some of my followers, for the next few days, I will share a few days of my favorite images taken over the years.

I saw the news on a television screen this afternoon passing by, saw the images, and it felt like a wound in the heart.

Thank you Virginia! It was very hard watching the cathedral burning on PBS Newshour Live!

So very sad that this majestic cathedral has suffered such damage. Let’s hope it’s beauty can be restored.

More than the heart of Paris is broken. The hearts of many of the world's people are grieving with you and with Paris.
