Vieux et Nouveau
Just as there was restoration work at Notre Dame de Paris, there is ongoing work at almost every church in Paris. Église Saint-Germain-des-Prés, one of Paris' oldest churches has benn in the midst of repair for several years. This photo seems to say it all.

Photographe parisien
This Paris photographer is usually set up right here by the Saint-Germain- des- Prés church. He's quite good and I recommend stopping by to see his work. Buy something! Photographers always need customers.

Sunday Church Series - Look Up
The side entrance of the old Église Saint-Germain-De-Prés. I'd love to know what the pretty circular room is on the balcony!

Deux fenêtres
If you weren't waiting across the street for the traffic to pass, you might miss these windows above the tiny garden beside the Église Saint-Germain-des-Prés.

Sunday Church Series - La moto rouge
The red motorbike has a story, but sadly I don't know it. What I do know is that I have photographed it (or one just like it) parked in front of Église Saint-Germain-Des-Prés several times over the years. I rather like the idea that it belongs to the priest. Now that would be one great photo op to see him sail up to the church in his robes!

Paris Rouge - Les Ballons
Louis Vuitton's always chic windows with les balloons rouges reflect the Saint-Germain-de-Pres church across the street.
Today I join James and hundreds of bloggers posting their reflection photos on James' Weekend Reflections right HERE!

Sunday Church Series - Église Saint Germain des Pres
Because I have visited many of Paris' churches over and over, each trip I try and find something new to photograph. This last trip in November, 2014, I was in and out of St. Germain des Pres several times as we stayed just a block away. My eye was drawn to the beautiful painted columns. I could be wrong, but I don't think I've seen columns like this in other churches. As one of Paris' oldest churches, this sacred space could stand some loving care, but I love the nicks and chipped paint. Reminds me of how long this church as stood and all that has happened inside these walls.

Sunday Church Series - Saint-Germain- de- Près
Considered one of the oldest churches in Paris, the ladder is indicative of the constant restoration process required to keep up this beautiful church.
