It's no secret that a Parisian Pharmacie is wonderful place. This particular one on near Place Vendôme, had this delightful display of fabulous swim caps that reminded me of one my mother had in the 60's.

Sometimes, I carefully pull out my camera in order to capture a very special Paris moment. This photograph brings back wonderful memories of a lovely lunch with my friend Keri, just hours after I'd arrived in Paris. I was tired, bleary eyed, and we walked in a pouring rain, but so grateful to be there having the most delicious lunch with her at Cuisine de Philippe!

Sunday Church Series - Église Saint-Germain-des-Prés

I"ve visited this wonderful old church so many, many times. Each time I go, I try and find new things to photographs. The painted columns caught my eye.

Vieux et nouveau

On the Boulevard Saint Germain side of the Saint Germain des Prés church is a sweet little park for children. There's a sandbox and a few little rides. Set against this beautiful wall, a very special place pour les enfants.

This friendly crêpe maker is smiling because he knew Peter and I caught him licking the Nutella off his finger! I seriously considered grabbing the jar and making a run for it.!

CDP Theme Day - Black and White in Color

La Défense

Today, the first of the month, means my City Daily Photobloggers around the world are posting a photo on this month's theme, BLACK AND WHITE IN COLOR! This was an interesting theme although not so easy. I snapped this while making a metro/bus connection last November at La Defense. It was my first visit and I was disappointed that I couldn't get closer due to construction issues.  C'est la vie!

These large iron rings were used to tie river barges to the quai. I had some photography here on my last visit.

Le coupeur baguette

In many of the older Paris restaurants and cafés, you will find a well worn cabinet loaded with simple baskets and a coupeur baguette. I have never asked, but would love to know how many fresh baguettes they buy each day!

I Love Rock n Roll

As soon as the rain stopped, this hearty group set up in the plaza across from the Louvre and put on a show. They did a nice rendition of I Love Rock n Roll and some even sang along!

Cimetière du Montparnasse

After meeting my friends from Brussels for lunch, I walked the few blocks to Cimetière
 du Montparnasse for a lovely afternoon stroll. I've visited a few times with Mary, but it was nice to have another look around. I snapped this just outside the gates.

Le carrousel at Luxembourg Gardens was closed on this beautiful, sunny day.  They probably only open on Wednesdays when the children are out of school and on the weekends. This grown up was very disappointed.

Babe's owners loved him very much. The tender remembrances at the Cimetière des Chiens just outside of Paris will break you heart if you are a pet owner.

One of my favorite photographs. Mother and daughter enjoy a slow but very dear walk through the Jardin du Palais Royal.
