Lèche-vitrine

If this basket of warm baguettes doesn't make you want to "lick the window", nothing will. Vive la boulangerie!

L'homme et sa baguette

Spotted on our walk in Montmartre. Wonder if he will share with his friends?

Le pain

I always enjoy seeing the place where small Paris restaurants slice their bread. There are always the obligatory straw baskets and the always fresh baguette sliced just before it's served. This is the lovely old bar and restaurant, A la Pomponnette, depuis 1909. If you are in the Montmartre area I highly recommend. One of the best meals I've had in Paris for a very reasonable price.

Baguette To Go!

I think I could possibly do an entire photo series on baguettes to go. Another image that made me smile.

Un, deux, trois, quatre baguettes - Un homme heureux

What I wouldn't give right now to have a warm baguette in my hands!

Le Pain de Paris

While we're all stuffing ourselves with turkey, dressing etc. here in the U.S., Parisians are queuing up to buy warm baguettes, which for me is a wonderful substitute.  I've been gone for less than a week, and just looking at this photograph makes my mouth water.

This Thanksgiving, I'm grateful for all of you that stop by this blog and read/comment. It brings me great pleasure to share my photographs of Paris with you.  I hope you will come back often for new photos from this last trip!

City Daily Photo Theme Day - The Creative Artisan

Thankfully bread making is not a lost art in France!  This baker in the small town of Thorigny sur Oreuse, was loading up his van with warm fresh baguettes.

Baguettes to Go! - 100 French Strangers

French Stranger #48

While in Thorigny sur Oreuse, Fr, I was photographing the old rusty gate below and decided to see what was on the other side. Voilá ! The baker from the boulangerie next door came out with these scrumptiuos baguettes and loaded them in his van. I should have grabbed one! The gate was pretty wonderful as well, oui?
