Square René-Viviani
Square René-Vivani with Église Saint-Julien-le-Pauvre in the background. Taken through a dirty bus window, I'm pretty amazed it turned out so well.

Sunday Church Series - Église Saint-Étienne-du-mont
If you've visited the Panthèon, or seen the movie Midnight in Paris, you will recognize this beautiful church. This gorgeous Sunday afternoon, the sky made a beautiful backdrop.

Paris Rouge - Chez Marianne
I will admit that I've never dined here but this charming, vine covered café in the heart of the Marais has been the subject of many of my photos. I didn't find a website but this interesting review. How could a place adorned with Jef Aerosol's black cats be all bad? Maybe a drink on the terrasse next trip.

Le monde est petit
Last January, the day after we arrived, Peter, Mary and I were strolling down the little pedestrian street by Procope. I noticed two ladies nearby snapping photos as well, and I thought I had stepped into one of their photos, so I turned to apologize. On of them put her hand on my arm and explained that she and her friend had seen us twice already that day...in the Metro and at the Sempé exhibit! She went on to say that she had recognized me from my blog that she read frequently, so she knew I was in Paris. Then she said, "And that's Peter isn't it! I recognized him from his blog!" What are the chances that would meet Clista, all the way from Texas, in Paris for heaven's sake! We had a nice visit and then Mary asked where they were headed the next day and they said the pet cemetery. Well we were too and as we crossed the street to the cemetery the next day, who do you think we saw??? What could be more fun than to meet a blog friend in Paris... twice. Le monde est petit!

Look Familiar?
All Apple Stores are designed alike but the Apple Store Opéra, really is a step above don't you think? They did a terrific job keeping the fine architectural details when they renovated of this beautiful building.
And the blue tee shirts and friendly, knowledgeable staff were just what you would expect from your hometown Apple store!

La porte - Cimetière Montparnasse
Depuis 1824, first known as Cimetière du Sud. Mary introduced me to this Paris cemetery. I've been back several times. If you've not visited, put it on your list.

Signes du Samedi - Le Grand Colbert
One of Paris' more famous restaurants, Le Grand Colbert has certainly stood the test of time. I've not dined here, but after reading the reviews I might have to put it on my list.

La marche des animaux
A visit to the Jardin des Plantes would not be complete with a trip through the amazing Museum national d'histoire naturelle. Eva and Davis voted the amazing Grande Gallerie de l'Évolution their very favorite.

L'accordéoniste IV
What's dancing in the street on rue Mouffetard with out the obligatory French accordion?? Of course Christian Bassoul is the originator of this neighborhood gathering, but I've found others that take his place from time to time.

Sunday Church Series - The American Cathedral in Paris
The American Cathedral in Paris welcomes visitors each Sunday by serving cookies and coffee in the back of the sanctuary following the church service. I've worshipped there on two occasions and and always enjoyed the service and getting to meet the members and clergy.

Signes du Samedi - Merci!
Merci, a wonderful shop in the Marais that donates a portion of their profits to charity has an ever changing wall with their extensive collection of letters of all sizes and colors. Loved this message. It's sooo Paris!

Writer's Block?
She had a notebook and pencil in hand. Who knows what she was thinking, but she was oblivious to those of us around her.

Le loquet
Peter takes me to the prestigious Bibliothèque Nationale de France Paris de Richelieu, and I become fixated on this beautiful old latch on the window upstairs in the museum. I have no shame.

Cercle d'amis
One of the many things I love about Paris is how friends seem to gather in the parks, a bottle of wine and just talk. I found this group at the Palais Royal ( of course) one summer day. What a great way to spend an afternoon n'est-ce-pas?

L'ange
Cimetière de Passy is a small cemetery and as I've said before, I think I found more photographs there than any other cemetery I've visited in Paris. This angel caught me eye. Someone had taken the time to lovingly tuck this tiny branch around her head. Lovely.

Le petit garçon et la voiture
I will confess to stalking the precious children in Paris. I'm shameless. Sometimes I even crop their siblings or parents out of the photograph! It was a chilly afternoon at the Palais Royal. This curly headed cherub had a biscuit tight in his fist and a car in the other. What a delightful playground.

Parfait!
When in Paris, our favorite flat is just steps from Boutique Michel Cuizel on rue Saint Honoré. This morning, Mary and I stepped inside so I could ask for a few photographs. Madame was kind enough to allow me to photograph her making every single box of their fabulous chocolats just so.
