Urban Art Series - Finding Nemo!

So let's start a mini series again. Street art in Paris can be found in every neighborhood. NOT to be confused with tagging, which I despise, but the creative endeavors of many street artists who do their work, I assume, in the dark of night. I'll share some of my favorites in the days to come.

Today, Nemo. His work is distinctive,  featuring the silhouette of a man with recurring rouge umbrellas and balloons. With my Paris Rouge obsession, I"ve enjoyed finding Nemo all over Paris.

Marché de la Création Paris-Bastille

Mary and I love to take in this nice open air art faire near the Opera Bastille. Here is my artist friend Didier L'espagnol's  booth.

Paris Photos on the Fence

I've enjoyed this Paris photographer's work on many trips. He sets up his work along the fence of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés church on nice days. He's very talented, and I will probably buy one of his images one day.

Le photographe

This photographer, posting his images on the fencing around Saint-Germain-des- Pres. His work is very good.

L'artiste

In 2013, I walked up on a street artist laying out the grid for a Picasso chalk drawing. Stop in tomorrow to see the results and the artists as well.

Nemo

It's no secret that I abhor the senseless tagging found all around Paris and all of our cities as well. That said, I love the real Paris street artists like Nemo. His work always makes me smile.

Ma Journée à Paris - Part II

When monsieur spotted me with my camera, he stood up and in better English than my French, explained that he was preparing to do a Picasso chalk portrait. He fetched a copy of the original and told me,"You come back in three hours and it will be finished."  I said, "Au revoir", went across the bridge and returned later that afternoon, to ooh and ahh over this lovely masterpiece!

Nemo Was Here Again!

I love, love, love it when I get emails from readers and yesterday I heard from Jennifer who was inquiring about a photo I'd posted by Paris street artist Nemo.  She is going to Paris in July and wanted to find it for herself!  I sent her more details, but while I was searching, I found this one of my Eva on what might have been the first day we were in Paris in May, 2009, having a closer look at a Paris chat.  That led to an ongoing count of all the "real" Paris chats she and Davis found each day!

J'ai une boule rouge sur la têt

In Paris, I'm always amused and entertained by the creative street artists. I love walking down a street or across a bridge and finding someone like this that makes me smile... and take a lot of photos!
