As you all know by know, I try to visit the dancers on Sundays at rue Mouffetard as often as I can. I've been fortunate to meet a number of them . Today you will of course recognize one of my favorites, Michel. He's not dancing with his usual partner but dear Nellie. Nellie came faithfully every Sunday for many years, but my friend Roger told me recently that she's not been in the best of health so she doesn't join them as frequently. Certainly she was a bright spot in the crowd of locals and one I always sought to photograph.

Just wonderful this tradition and that you are following it, Virginia. Hope Nellie is OK.
I do like the way you return to these spots V. It reinforces the places I need to see if I am fortunate enough to visit Paris again.
It's on my list! I can't wait to see Marcel and I hope Nellie is there twirling around!
I love this photo. I hope Nellie can dance for a long while.
I love this guy—and you have so many great shots of him! (But I thought his name was Michel.)
ALexa, you're right, I got him mixed up with another dancer. Thanks for letting me know so I could correct it! I need a blog secretary/editor something fierce!
It is time to put your camera down and get out there dancing, Virginia!
Beautiful post! Perhaps I will have time to stop by during our trip in September. I would love to see Nellie dancing with her partners! xoxo, B
