You veteran Paris visitors know all about SOLDES. The huge city wide sales come just twice a year. The summer soldes started June 26th and run through July 30th. During the economic crunch it's rumored that the city has become a little more lenient, allowing for some unannounced sales throughout the year. I've taken advantage of the January soldes many times and was very grateful when my luggage was delayed to be able to shop the July sales to get me by!
Today, Repetto's lovely window. Inside there was a buying frenzy going on.

Bonjour,
Je ne suis pas encore allée jeter un coup d'oeil dans les boutiques et profiter de certaines bonnes affaires, s'il y en a !!
J'aime beaucoup la vitrine de chez Repetto...
Gros bisous et merci pour cette jolie photo.
Glad to hear that shopping frenzy is not only restricted to on-line purchases these days V.
Virginia, I love Repetto's window displays and this pile of tow shoes is great! Wish I could be shopping there right now!
I was there once for soldes. Sigh!
We need to take some advice from this concept. Cut the available shopping hours down, less merchandise with better choices, and limit the sales. North American's have made shopping a form of entertainment.
Less is more.
is that a pile of ballet slippers? Did you get some of those?
The thing I love most about the Soldes is that it's a REAL sale, not just another cone on.
