L'homme au le chapeau

Photographed through the window of a café on Mouffetard. I loved his profile. I would have liked to had a conversation with this man.

Le chapeau

Le Bar Fleuri,  in the 19 arrondissemnet is a neighborhood bistro.  We had a delightful café with our new friend Joseph Hocine, from L'ecole des Fleuristes here last January.  This is the kind of family owned place we love to find in Paris.  Just locals, nothing fancy.

Le chapeau de Monsieur

A crisp straw hat and a denim shirt. Must be a Parisian... or maybe not.

Today I join James' Weekend Reflections right here!

Les chapeaux

At the Marché Art et Création Bastille, I found these girls looking like a scene from days gone by... except for the McDo's cups!

Le Beau Chapeau

On a Sunday last June I joined mes chère amies, Mary, Anne, Marie, Genie, Janet and Maya for a delicious lunch at la Bourgogne on rue Mouffetard. Can't you just hear all of our chatter and laughter?? I was taken by a young woman who came in with her friends wearing this lovely confection of a hat. I suspect they had been to church, most likely for a wedding. I wanted to take her picture wearing it, but she took it off and placed it on this shelf before I could. I setttled for this shot.

Les Chapeaux Trés Chic

Tomorrow is Easter and so today I've featured a beautiful hat on my Birmingham blog that reminded me of this photo I took last summer in Paris. Marie Mercié looks like my kind of shop, and I would have walked across the street and ventured inside but it was closed. Next trip I'll do just that, don't you worry!

P.S. Marie Mercié's website is worth a look. Oh my!
