La croix

My good friend Owen Phillips (Instagram: owenphil333) , who lives in Chantilly FR, is an exceptional cemetery photographer. We often meet up when we visit Paris. I've learned to appreciate the details, such as this mausoleum door from him.

La Croix

A cold January day at Cimetière  de Montmartre, we found this cross. When finding the link, I was amazed that this cemetery opened in 1825.

Une Autre Croix - Cimetière de Passy

I've found these lovely porcelain crosses and wreaths at each and every cemetery I've visited in Paris. I think they become even more beautiful as they weather.  Last January, after a rainfall, I thought this one very special, with the fallen leaves.
