Les chats de Paris I

A mini series always develops each trip. This past trip, Paris chats appeared all over town. I"ll share them in the coming weeks. Today's chat, was the only one we saw as we strolled through Père Lachaise late one afternoon. I think he had just had a little chocolate chaud!

Cat lovers visiting Paris, put this on your To Do list.  We had such a delightful afternoon there sipping some very good chocolat chaud and thé and getting to pet the 20+ rescue cats that make this place their new home.  Today, a very gregarious kitty that spotted a lap!  Reservations are preferred.

I've already posted a post from Le Café des Chats, but there seems to be a lot of interest in this new café in the Marais, and as I'm a cat lover, I have many to share.  Today this little guy found a place to snuggle in the front window behind us.  If you love cats, put this on your list!

Café des Chats - Shhhhhh

This last trip, I was lucky enough to swing a reservation for Le Café des Chats in the Marais.  Yes, you heard me right, a reservation. This place has taken Paris by storm and there are often lines outside waiting for their turn to sip a café or a divine chocolat chaud and have the pleasure of stroking one of the twelve rescue kitties that roam freely.  Three of us were "cat people" and Peter came along and proved to be a very good sport.  The resident chats can be found upstairs and down,  finding many places to curl up, nap, or just hop in the lap of a willing patron!  I found this sweet kitty enjoying a nice velvet chair for her nap.  More photos to come bien sûr!

Yet another reason I love photographing every inch of Paris when I visit.  What are the chances you could walk up on a scene like this ???  At first we thought perhaps this chat had come with the lady but shortly after she tried to shoo him away.  Sunday at Luxembourg Gardens never fails to delight me.

Chat Salon de Coiffure

One Sunday morning when walking back to the apartment after Sunday service at the Val de Grace, I spotted this curious chat that apparently lived in the salon de coiffure.  I liked the color coordinated floor tiles!  (I shot this through the window.)

Mon Chat Noir...

...aime Paris, bien sûr!   My dear blog friend Daryl in NYC, sent me this great book. Well the truth is, she sent it to Meeps from her two furry friends.  Meeps has thoroughly enjoyed flipping through it. 

I'm thinking when I start packing ma valise in January, my chère Meeps will be wanting to tag along! :)

Les chats de Paris will definitely be the focus of my camera this trip.
