Atelier des Lumières I

The highlight of our trip in November was the Atelier des Lumières featuring the work of Klimt and Hundertwasser. It's difficult to describe the experience of being in this large, former foundry building with images from 140 projectors casting these amazing images on all of the walls and the floor, all the while magnificent classical music surrounds you. The exhibit closed today but it looks like there will be more artists featured in the future.

For the next few days, I will post a few more of the images.

This was one of my most magnificent art experiences of all time. It was one of the most remarkable things I've ever seen, like being inside the painting itself, surrounded by color all around us. I would go a thousand times.

Even just the video makes it look amazing. It would be worth it to make a special trip to Paris just to see it. And then of course stay for a week or two and see everything else I could possibly see.

If possible, Virginia, please post the name of the painting in the image as well as which of the two painters painted it. Thank you!

Klimt's style was so evocative.
