New Kid on the Block

As museums go, the Musée Quai Branly is a newcomer.  Close to la Tour Eiffel, facing the Seine this museum opened in 2006 and features indigenous art, cultures, and civilizations from Africa, Asia, Oceania and the Americas. Designed by Jean Nouvel, whose Green Wall is part of the exterior, this is a new museum to add to your long list.

Incorporating all those cultures is no easy task; well-done, though.

My favorite part about this photo is the way the strawberry blonde woman on the left side stands out. Is that a leopard-print coat she's wearing?

how funny; I was there yesterday (not in the museum but noticing that there is another one I didn't know about!). Did a wonderful (short and brisk) walk and marvelled at all the beauty to be had for free in this amazing city!

Fabulous photo-- I must have walked by there a dozen times. It's long!

Did you go inside? I like the building, but I've never seen an Exhibition.
