It is the artist in you that sees the beauty of neglect in the shutters...

You shouldn't have written that, V. You should DEFINITELY not have written that....

Its also the voyourism - the shadows - from an outside into an interior - is there someone inside looking out one asks ?

It´s so simple: Because we LOVE PARIS!!

It looks no where near as appealing on my kitchen window! xx

I'm not sure those shutters would look as charming at my place as they do in Paris, but I'd be willing to give it a try. A beautiful scene, V.

I love the mystery of this window... It could be quite lovely inside in spite of the dilapidated outside appearance. JB needs to be spanked.

Oooo Genie...you are naughty!
Virg - I'm thinking that by the time you took this photo WE were feeling old and dilapidated.
BTW-when are you going to make a Paris Rouge book on Red Bubble...THAT would be a best seller...

Genie, JB will love that idea I predict! HAAAAAAAA

Mary, now that's a thought and oui, you and P, drug me all over that day. Cold and wet but we were troopers!

I was thinking the same thing. They make everything look romantic!

Why indeed? And yet they definitely do. Just as the same thing in my apartment definitely does not. (If only I could pick it up and move it to Paris!)

It looks charming because you are still in the blush of your romance with the city.

It's so true! Paris has more than it's share of dilapidated charm. This is a wonderful example.

Starman,
As you well know, the love affair continues at breakneck speed!

Starman's right. When in Paris we are in love with everything, our hearts are open and our imaginations run wild. We're dreaming of possibilities and imagining histories.

What doesn't look charming in Paris?

I just hope that crane doesn't fall through the roof of the Louvre....
