Pitzman

This is a very special one that I've kept since last June.  The Marais district of Paris is known for it's cultural diversity, especially their Jewish population.  I happened upon this shop late one afternoon on my very last day in Paris.  I watched this gentleman as he went about his work.  I knew the afternoon sun was too intense but I shot and shot, walked down the block and came back and tried some more.  One of my favorite portraits. Maybe this trip I'll pay another visit and the light will be better. Regardless I feel very lucky to have found him.

Oh, I like this one very much, VJ. It tells such a story. But tell me, what is the smaller image I thought at first a belt, then I wondered if it could be part of a bannister.

Pardon?

Oh, he is quite special, Virginia, and I love the interesting story... hope you capture him in January. He may have on his wooly coat!

What a wonderful portrait! Though I'm rather partial to the falafel at nearby L'As du Falafel, this place has a wonderful ambience. When you go back for more shots of this photogenic gentleman, I hope he doesn't think you're stalking him, V!

I don't see anything wrong with this photo.

Julie,
The smaller image is just the name of the shop. If I can get back there I'll find out more.

Starman,
Bless you. It was so bright, I didn't get him as I'd like. Maybe I'll have another chance. Do you know how very much this means to me to be back in Paris. I am so grateful. I'm sure you understand.

Alexis,
I hope Mary is reading this and will direct us! !!

Thanks for sharing with us V.
I love the lighting, in fact. As for monsieur, he looks very regal and in thought. Nice shot indeed
