Bateaux de Paris - The Julia

While participating in a street photography class with Meredith Mullins in 2014, I spotted Monsieur as he unloaded groceries to his houseboat, The Julia. I walked up and introduced myself and boldly asked if I could see his boat. He graciously told me after he was done, I was welcome. Unfortunately, I had to move on and never got that opportunity. It was lovely meeting him.  I took the next photo from the bridge.

Perhaps one day I'll get back there and maybe have the chance to sit and have a chat!

Bateaux de Paris - Bleu, rouge et blanc

Today, the second in my Bateaux de Paris series. It was a lovely blue sky morning in Paris. Unfortunately, the last month and a half has not been so sunny in Paris.

City Daily Photo Theme Day - Looking Down

It's July 1 and by now you know that it means THEME DAY for City Daily Photobloggers around the world. For our theme, I selected a photo from November, 2014. From the Passerelle Debilly, I watched the owner unload groceries from his car to the boat. I eventually wandered down and had a brief conversation. I learned he was an artist and that if I could come back a little later, after he had finished his work, he would show me around his péniche (houseboat). Sadly I had to be on my way!
