Travaux en cours

For those of you who have followed my blog, you'll remember Alexis. He is an evening/wedding gown designer whose shop is located just off Place des Vosges. For many visits, I found his shop closed, but then I got very lucky one day. He has kindly allowed me in on several occasions to photograph. He speaks no English and I... well you know about that. He nods and lets me take photographs and he attends to his phone. I leave with a merci and that's about it.

This trip, I found some of his sketches with the beginnings of a fabulous new creation.

Alexis, located at Place des Vosges, is always a delight. He designs over the top evening gowns. 

Beaucoup d'argent !

 I have stepped into Alexa's boutique at Place des Vosges many times over the years. We've never really made friends, but he's always allowed me to wander around and photograph his elegant, over the top ballgowns that he designs and makes right there. He usually turns away and reads his phone and basically ignores me.  I"m OK with that. Now those bracelets... j'aie envie!!!

Window Shopping at Alexis'

I have photographed Alexis' wonderful window and his designer gowns at Place des Vosges since 2008. I usually find Parisian men admiring his beautiful gowns.  I love that.

Couturier

Alexis in the Marais, has long been a favorite spot to photograph.  His exquisite, over the top gowns are a delight.
