Été á Paris

Summer at Place des Vosges.  I love the way Parisians just plop down in a park and enjoy the afternoon.  They don't feel the need to lug fold up chairs with cup holders, umbrellas, huge coolers with drinks and food, picnic blankets, and a variety of games to pass the time.

How about doing the Happy Dance in Paris today!

Good on them V. Sunshine, green grass, wonderful surroundings and friends. What could be better?

They don't need picnic chairs and blankets because there are benches around them, and they are not allowed to lay out in the grass in most public gardens. They do not need big coolers with drinks because they are within walking distance of a café terrace. So when they spot a garden where the lawn is "accessible," they just plonk down for a few minutes or a few hours and enjoy their time outdoors. Carpe Diem. Great shot, Virginia. Yes—no accoutrements needed. And thanks for the link, V. I would be doing the happy dance for sure if I could be in Paris right now!

I have wasted untold hours watching the Happy Dance all around the world. Mr. Williams tapped into something wonderful when he came out with that foot-tapping song and motivated folks everywhere to put Happy videos from their cities on Youtube.
