Those of you who have been lucky enough to visit Paris and stay in an apartment, know staircases like these oh so very well. They often dip in the middle from wear, and can be a very long trek up after a full day of walking Paris streets. As much as I have cursed them when I'm dragging my luggage up, I still love how charming they are, especially on the way down!

They tell a story with each creak of the treads V.
This is what we call shabby chic.
is that 'our' staircase at kathleen's and joe's building?
A staircase that curves up is always welcome to me.
The older I get the more I appreciate their beauty—but the less I want to climb them! This one's gorgeous, V --
I love the delicate hand rails and the worn stone steps. Timeless.
