Paris Rouge - Le Guitariste

I love the street musicians that pop up all over Paris.  Note the Pont L'Archeveche behind him, covered in love locks.  Not only are the locks now an eyesore but as you can see, irresponsible visitors have scratched their names on the old walls all along the Seine to further deface this beautiful city.

Des musiciens malheureusement souvent accompagnés de cacophoniques boites à rythmes. Celui-ci semble assis dessus.

The instrument the gentleman is playing is Dobro. The shinny metal part is a resonator that acts as an amplifier. It is played in many Bluegrass bands. I tried to play one for a while, but did the music world a favor by quitting.

The selfishness and stupidity of some visitors is difficult to understand. Warm regards

Trust you to find one with a red guitar, V! People are apparently thoughtless worldwide—the (newly painted at a cost of millions) Brooklyn Bridge is beginning to look like this already.

The musician has real character about him.

People can be, in a couple of words... real prats.

I do love the street music in Paris. You'll always be enchanted -- and all the better with a red guitar!

This style of guitar playing seems to be becoming more common. And I have been curmudgeonly enough on the subject of love locks, so I will take a pass on the topic tonight.
