Shooting on the street often requires a quick decision and an equally quick shot. I'm often pleased when I get a look at my downloaded images with what I captured. This photograph is full of little details that I missed, while really trying to get the bulldog begging for a nibble.

I wonder if the waiter is going to chase away the beggar? I've seen them do that so often in Paris.
Your timing was perfect. A wonderful shot.
I love that French dogs are so treasured.. Lots to see in this image Virginia.. Can't wait to go back :)
Pls let me know name and location of this resto. I seem to know it but cannot place it - and I find this worrying.... :)
I love ALL the détails and often I too am amazed at what I saw and at what really looks different when I view my shots on the computer screen........ Brave new technology makes these miracles and surprises possible!
bisous
Love this one. The waiter is a hottie and the woman with the cane so French.
A very typical shot of Paris...
Good capture, V! I recall that the beggar woman eventually gave up and moved along (not chased by the waiter, Starman), but the bulldog was tenacious.
A marvelous capture, Virginia!
This shot is just chock-a-block full of details, Virginia. The wonderful ceiling of arches, the waiter's stance and expression, the sign on the floor, the old person shuffling along, the lanterns, all before we even get to the dog.
Paris is certainly a city with class and culture V particularly when shot in black and white.
Muy muy buena!
«Louis» recognized this immediately as being at Place des Vosges!
