Love the flower detail in this image!
Léia
A taller vase could not exist bien sur.
love the woman partly hidden by the vase, she looks so very European
I can never disassociate the George V from Meg Ryan at the counter in French Kiss...you caught the elegance here!
gosh - that's a tall order.... :)
my 1st thought was: The poor receptionist - he NEVER sees the flowers in that tall vase. But amazing it is!
Funny, I can see you at the G5... just as I wd never see me there - but I've taken lots of pics from the outside (does that count?)
I'm thinking it's not likely I'll see them first hand, but it's nice to imagine!
Lest anyone assume I was actually STAYING at the George V, I was only there for an appt. to photograph the flowers for FLower Magazine. It was something I won't forget. Amazingly beautiful hotel and floral displays.
I doubt I'll ever be checking in, but that needn't stop me from taking a look-see around—and I will next time!
Okay, the flowers were not the first thing I noticed in this photo! I think, even if I had more money than I knew what to do with, I could never justify staying at the Georges V hotel. Thanks for that glimpse into the hotel though. Want to play along with Dreaming of France today? Here’s my Dreaming of France meme
Such opulence! I can only dream of staying somewhere like that.
Wow! This is fabulous! Sometimes over the top is a great thing! :)
Absolutely love this picture!
It is a very elegant place, of course, but that high vase seems silly to me. The tapestry behind the counter looks like it would be a beauty.
I find it difficult to believe people actually waste their money on this place. For what it would cost to stay here for a week, you could have s fabulous apartment for a month. I suspect most don't use their own money.
Hi Virginia,
How I wish not one careless guest will cause that vase to fall...the flower is lovely!
My entry for Dreaming of Paris is up at: http://lostforwords101.blogspot.com/2013/08/beauties-of-paris.html
Cheers from Manila,
