After all the grand churches in Paris, I enjoyed visiting the smaller churches in the countryside outside of Paris. This church in the small town of Bray sur Seine was quiet, even though there was a busy street market going on just outside.

I agree with you. Often the small churches in small villages or towns have a spiritual feeling that is more personal than the huge and famous cathedrals have.
I enjoyed the simpler churches also Virginia, some of the unique little features are so special.
