Réflexions- le Reminet

As you know by now, I do not dine at *pricey restaurants in Paris.  My theory is that you can get a good meal at a reasonable price almost anywhere in Paris. I prefer to save my euros for other things.  I met American photographer Meredith Mullins at le Reminet for lunch in July, 2009, and since then I've returned several times and enjoyed it each time.   Located on the Left Bank, it's close to Meredith's flat so she's a "regular". When you drop her name, the waiters light up!  I love the décor, the mirrors made me pull out my camera.

* For most, le Reminet is a very moderately priced resto. I urge you to try it.

I love the mirrors too! I passed by this restaurant in July and photographed it from outside.

I may have eaten here. In any case, I'd like to order now.

Thanks for the recommendation. A restaurant here in the Valley called Voltaire has just announced that they will be open September 8 after a short summer break. They are what I consider a bit pricey but are also considered the best in the Valley for French cuisine. It is right next door to me so I must go try it out. Hope to get to Paris to try your choice here. But until then, I will go next door sometime and let you know how it is.

Is the whole place decked out with such fabulous mirrors? It looks gorgeous. I love it when I find a restaurant or cafe which just clicks, and then it is wonderful to make it a regular spot. A sort of home away from home.

You, Marie and I shared a delightful déjeuner here and had the entire room to ourselves. Great food, enough wine, and wonderful friends.

I always put this on my recommendation list for friends traveling to Paris.

Oh, I agree! I have such fond memories of our déjeuner there! We laughed so much in that grotto-like room! The food was delicious! Love the shine of the mirrors in your photo!

It's good to know reasonably priced restaurants in major capital cities. Perhaps one day we might be fortunate to try it.

I just put all the particulars about this resto in my 'little Paris Moleskine book'. I use the M-M metro all the time when in Paris because I stay nearby. I think this is also a favorite of Richard's (Eye Prefer Paris) as well. Can't wait to try it. Merci.

Lighting up a Parisian waiter is not an easy task... Very nice place and perfectly composed image. I'll keep this in mind!

If you read our last adventures in Paris, you know that we sometimes do eat at 'pricey' restaurants. Of course, we can't afford it all the time, but once ina while it's nice to see how the 'other half' lives. One I would heartily recommend, and it's rather 'pricey', is Le Train Bleu in Gare de Lyon. I know, a train station restaurant? But this is way beyond what one would expect. http://tiny.cc/8hodj

Fabio, I'm certain it COULD be romantic if I could sweet talk a gentleman into joining there! :)

Starman, OUI! le Train Bleu is over the top gorgeous. I'e not eaten there but Peter and I spent an afternoon there having champagne once. It should not be missed, you are right!

What a great photo! Once I accidentally ate at a very pricey Thai restaurant here in Paris--The Blue Elephant--and I was heartily disappointed. I think I would've gotten a better meal at Casa Bonita in Denver!
