Parisians on their balconies. Sometimes I can get a wave or a smile. Taken in 2008, it was just the beginning of my fascination ( addiction? ) with Parisian street photography and eventually my 100 French Strangers quest. As I have spent more time there, I'm bolder and take more risks. J'aime le résultat.

Hi Virginia,
Great photograph of Madame standing on her little bacony.
I love the red of her dress and the red rose on the upper window garden.
Happy week
Hugs
Carolyn
I have one similar which I must show you - it's on the balcony of the "Pauls" chain restaurant in Saint Germain. I love it. There is something about balconies! Next time I go to Paris -- I want one.
Love this. x
Bonjour Paris.

I love the Parisian balconies! And you can see a lot of people standing on their balconies smoking a cigarette, watching what is going on in the streets.
I suppose she was smoking?
I love the fact that you've become so bold. I'm still in the 'can't do this' doldrums. Something to work on!
Love the balustrades, the street lamp and the discreet touches of red, and she's smiling Virginia, gorgeous Parisian scene.
What a gorgeous scene, V ~ I love that you caught each other's eyes and she seems happy with the camera attention. Her splash of red is most fortuitous.
Must have been quite chilly as she is wearing a leather jacket over her red bathrobe. Quite an interesting Paris Rouge capture. Love the architecture of the balconies and the way that there is just a touch of color in the photo!
Nice photo of Jacqueline! What a fantastic balcony, non?!
I think it was the Paris Rouge that caught your eye! I love the fancy details in the iron work of the balconies in Paris ---- or even the plain ones --- there is something so inviting about a balcony.
and getting some superb photos to share!
I think that the two of you connected. A big smile and a wave from a silver-blond gets you a long way in taking a shot like this... I count on being able to run fast after clicking, hehehe!
biz,

LOVE the splash of red, and the cute smile she's giving you. Your chutzpah is paying off, V!
She looks glad to see you!
Polish immigrant in her pajamas on the balcony to smoke a cigarette. Either that or my mother-- and that's my final answer. ;-)
I'm seeing some red highlights here, Virginia. It was intended to be.
Thank you for linking up to Traveling Tuesday's at the WhistleStop Cafe.
I am thinking we can take a trip to Paris every tuesday!
I like the result too. Your photos are wonderful.
