As I have been featuring the churches of France each Sunday, today let's return to the beautiful Église Saint Louis-Saint Paul church in le Marais. "Commissioned by Louis XIII and completed in 1641, the Church is one of the oldest examples of Jesuit architecture in Paris." Virginia, You get the most unusual prospective on everything. Great pics here.
I saw the outside of this one when I was there but didn't go in. It's now at the top of the list for this trip. Great photos.
You know how I love arches.... Great photos. Thanks for the link.
A nice photo of this interesting church. I think we visited this one for the first time on my latest visit. Until then, I had missed it.
Amazing work that you have done in photography in this blog. Congratulatins!
I am agog. AGOG.
Catching up again today. This one and the one of the Bon Marche are ... AGOG, I tell you.
There's something about candles in a church...Very smoothing no matter your personal beliefs.
Virginia, what a delight to discover your great pictures of St. Pauls - we live just a one minute walk form here and see the view down rue de Sevigne daily! I love the way you captured the multiple arches, excellent shot.
Polly, Oh my. How lucky you are. I hope that one day when I return we can meet and stroll the Marais together.
K,
Oh I focused on the candles all over France. The entire church is too much to capture so I tried to choose special details in each one.
Petera,
HA! Agog??? How funny. I'm glad my photos evoke that response.
Tapirgal,
Paris has so very many wonderful churches. I lost count!
