A Little Bubbly at the Palais Royal - 100 French Strangers

French Strangers #38 and #39

I've never strolled around the gardens of the Palais Royal without finding some very interesting people to photograph. This cute couple was enjoying a little bubbly under the trees. I was feeling a little Paris bleu that afternoon , but they definitely made me smile. Merci!

Oh, that's one of my favorite gardens in Paris -- I love the crunch of the gravel underfoot, and there's often an interesting piece of art. (Not to mention Didier Ludot and Pierre Hardy and Serge Lutens!)

I guess everyone loves this garden. I spent so much time there last trip. My hotel was a half block away so I was there almost every day. It made a nice short cut to some of the other streets.
This next one, I'll be on the other side of the Seine but will visit it as often as I can.

Love the feeling of this photo.

Is it safe to say that "jeans" are now commonplace in Paris?

Harriet,
Oui, if you are young and TRÉS thin! ha. I had to pass on that fashion statement. It was just better that way!

I think we all agree that this is one of the best places in Paris for people watching. I was there for maybe a half an hour that day and got 4 French Stranger photos plus 4 more on the sly. Fertile photography ground not to mention how pretty it is. Ahhhh, I miss it!

Alaine,
Oui, they were just so open and happy. They perked me right up!

Why don't more people in the US look like this? I don't mean in terms of attractiveness, but in being relaxed and content?
