Mes chers amis, pardon, pardon, pardon!!!!! for the sleeper (yawn.....) post yesterday. Today I try and make up for it by posting one of the most delightfully frou-frou shops in Paris, Ladurée, the mecca of macarons of course! Regretfully ( I cannot begin to describe how regretfully ) when we stopped by here last August, the shop was closed. Do you see my nose prints on the window?? Oh wait, maybe those are the adorable chien prints that they used for their newest fab packaging and displays!! I am showing you everything including the parfum, soaps and candles I spotted inside the shop. I must go back and see it all on my next visit. For now, just close your eyes and imagine one of those scrumptious macarons melting in your mouth!! Shell Sherree? Darlin' I hope you enjoy this post today!

These are beautiful window displays! Absolutely wonderful.
I've been looking for some nice ones from Long Island to post on my blog & I've been so disappointed in not being able to find anything special-at least so far. maybe my luck will change.
Thanks for sharing this Virginia!
Enjoy? Enjoy??? LOL, that's an understatement and a half, Virginia. :) How heavenly!! As well as macarons, Ladurée knows how to do packaging, n'est-ce pas?! And wouldn't one of those perfume bottles suit your dressing table beautifully? :)
I always loved the macarons, but there seems now to be an international campaign to promote them, maybe with ParisBreakfasts as a leader!
I like the way you discribe these pictures and I love macarons !
I just took a closer look at the bottom photo and is that you in the window Peter??? And could that possibly be macaron shaped soap or just something to nibble?? Either way, a delight for sure.

Peekaboo, I see you! Don't know that I'd actually want macaron-shaped soap—it would make me crave the edible kind at all times. One of those purple perfume atomizers, on the other hand . . .
During my last visit, I poked my head in at the Laduree near cathedrale Madeleine, but there was a long line...quel dommage, I should have had more patience!
Great photos!
Oh, I want to be a girly-girl. Charming. It does look like a Shell store.
Hiker,
Girly-girls have a lotta fun! Give it a try. I can hardly wait to get inside and give myself a little "poof" of that parfum and see if that's champagne or maybe bubble bath. ohh la la! And yes, I think Shell has another piece of artwork in the making here right here.
I love macarons, but it takes me two days to finish a regular sized one. It now appears that we're going to be in Paris for Christmas. We have to find a place to stay. We know which place we would like, but the owner seems reluctant to rent to us for some reason. Wish us luck.
What a delightful display!
Virginia! I did not see your invitation to visit until after I returned to California! It's all the same, because I wouldn't have been able to go. I promised my BFF my undivided attention. Thank you so much though - I would LOVE to see your ET collection. Mine is overflowing - I'm thinking of thinning it out a little. Can you imagine?
I see I also missed a bunch of fantastic photos in my absence. Your posts are always so pretty and informative. Merci!
Starman,
TWO days? I don't have much self control when it comes to the caramel ones! Apartment or hotel? Email me,

ET Suzy,
Our magnificent obsession!
Daryl,
Everytime I think I've seen it all........
Merci Laurent!
Harriet,
I think it does get crowded but I'll find a time when I can look around and take some photos for our resident artist, Shell!
Lily,
Sadly I've not found anything here in the states to compare with the French displays. They are just amazing. I have a few more to share. :)
Virginia, I love Paris and I love your blog (as well as Shell Sherree's). Thanks to you both for virtual visits!
It's all I can do not to press my nose up against your wonderful photos and pretend I too am standing outside Ladurée waiting for them to open and let me in to buy macarons and other girly delights! It's been a few years since my last visit here, and now it's top of my list for my next trip. I hope it's open the next time you're in Paris!
Katie, you know, there's got to be a way for us to be together in Paris. Let's work on that idea!! And oui, I will find a time to be here and savor every minute without too many calories consumed! :) I need to work on that aspect of Paris!! More photos, less calories!

Shanna, you're the artist, I'm flattered mon amie.
Virginia, you've already given me so much inspiration, I need another few hours each day to act on it all ~ but I'll keep gratefully accepting as much as you care to give me and I'm sure the Universe will find those hours for me. :) Have I told you yet how much of a honey you are?!
ET Suzy, I can't imagine that. Wait. Let me try ... Nope. ;)
Just when «Louis» gets over one bout of Paris-longing, you go a post a photo of Ladurée! Shame on you! You did this deliberately, didn't you?!
