And They Came Two By Two- Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle

Sunday was a banner day for photographs. I've still got more. Only in Paris is all I have to say. After we wandered through the dancers, bands, and ceramics art fair, we took a short walk to Jardins des Plantes. We've been there before but this time it was threatening to rain so we decided to head to the Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle there. ( In Paris you learn to save the museums for rainy days). We were blown away with this fabulous place. I know my photos don't do it justice. Just come here and experience it for yourselves.

Baleen Whale Skeleton

Today was a rainy, chilly day in Paris. We didn't venture out much. These photos are from yesterday's excursions.

Wow, never been in that one - had no idea. I guess having children with you helps to get you in the door.

That elephant looks like he is ready to charge through my screen. They must polish his tusk to keep it so shiny!

You have visited some really neat places.

I, for one, am glad it rained. These are spectacular...we never made it here, but we will next time!

Merci beacoup!

Wild! I can't believe I've never been here. I MUST put this on my itinerary for October. Love these photos, but I do love the dancing ones more. Such amazing action and expressions!

Speaking of Baleen - there is/was a nice, not-horribly-expensive-for-Paris in the 4th called, if memory serves correctly Au Dos de la Baleine. «Louis» doesn't remember what rue it is/was on, but it is/was near Mariage Frères on rue Bourg-Tibourg.

.... and you simply MUST have tea at Marige Frères!

Cool camera angles for a truly interesting exhibit. Looks like a museum I would like!

And thanks to you, now we know Peter is not perfect: he doesn't dance!

Alice,
Perhaps with enough champagne he will! :)

Louis,
Merci for your hot tips. I'll have an expresso s'il vous plait!

V--I want to travel with you. You have all the fun!

I saw your message to D. I heard from him yesterday (lucky me!). He's been traveling and has been too busy to post; has just returned home and hopes to take it up again soon. He's well.

I would have emailed you but I'm between computers and so are my email addresses.
