Sunday Church Series - Église Saint-Eustache

Taken from high atop the Centre Georges Pompidou (through the glass), a view of the Église Saint-Eustache   that one doesn't normally see. I'm feeling pretty proud of myself for identifying this lovely Paris church, which geographically is a lot farther away than it appears.

I love old churches.

Why is it that Paris rooftops always look so romantic, is it because we can imagine what is going on below, I don't know! With the addition of the church, perfect shot Virginia,

What a wonderful rooftop view of that church! I just hope you weren't standing atop a chimney to take the photo, V!

EVERYTHING IN PARIS IS FARTHER AWAY THAN IT APPEARS! We were there for 14 juillet celebration at the Eiffel Tower. Our lodging was in the Latin Quarter. We thought, "We'll just walk back." TWO HOURS LATER, we flopped with our baguettes on the bed, ate, and slept. WOW! Anita

Ma chère Virginie!

Oh l`là, it took me 3 years to make friends on Blogger, but it has changed my life. It takes time to find each other and keep up with each other, but it is so worth it. People like YOU ALL love to communicate, and that is what makes the difference. Thank you for your kind words and for always giving us a bird's eye view of the most beautiful city....BON DIMANCHE À VOUS! Anita

It's not that far. A Frenchman once told me that checking Saint-Eustache was a waste of time. I was really glad I didn't take his advice.

I have to admit that to me (and just one woman's opinion) the best thing about the Beaubourg is the view. And you've captured it beautifully, V!

The only thing I love in the Centre Pompidou: it offers a fantastic view over the roofs of the city. And , who knows why, Paris roofs are marvellous!

One of my favorite churches! Great shot and I love those roof tops! It seems like La Defence should be in the background?

I like going up in the elevator and photographing the views from the Centre Pompidieu. I hope you looked to the right and snapped some shots of Montmartre and Le Sacré-Coeur.
