Ma Bonne Chance

I walk down a street in Montmartre and............ I say, "Bonjour Monsieur!"( with very big smile).   I count my blessings.

As he waits for his order of escargots de Bourgogne (the 14 euro size), he is thinking, "Why did that beautiful woman shoot and run? I would have shared my snails with her!"

Can't tell if he's smiling or scowling.

This looks as French as it can be! :) The lad reminds me also of a character in the movie "2 days in Paris"...
God bless you!

Um, Virginia, I hate to tell you, but the gentleman looks like he was working up a good burp. What you took for an inviting smile was gas.

He looks extremely pleased to see a beautiful lady smile at him!

I loved your comments today. I took this photograph in 2008, way before I had "so much nerve" and didn't mind marching up to a Frenchman/woman and ask to take their photo. I was still a bit timid but I look back at this as one of my best "Parisians"!
