Space Invaders Land in Paris

le Marais

In the early 90's, artist Invader installed his first mosaic in Paris.  Since that time, his colorful aliens have shown up in cities around the world.  Inspired by the Space Invaders game, these colorful tiles appear in well thought out locations all over Paris.  Have you found any on your travels?

No I haven't spotted them either of the times I've been in Paris Virginia, but third time lucky, maybe next year. They sure are colourful and hard to miss, mind you, there is such a lot to take in.

What a fabulous contrast with the old street lamp. Colourful and humourous ~ that has to be good!

Harriet, That's too funny!

Italo, Have you seen them in Italy?

Vreni, I was amazed at how many places around the world have these.

Jeanne, it will be fun to see how many we can all find now that we're looking.

Cezar and Leia, I liked the lantern with it too! :)

Diane, look around, you'll find them.

Blue Fruit, thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a nice comment!

Loulou, Yes, I've a photo of that one too. I thought I'd already posted it but can't find it. I'll do that soon.

Perth, I don't know about the other art with it. Maybe someone will know.

Megi, Thank you. You're right about that lantern.

Karena, Merci!

I've probably seen them, but I'm so jaded, I don't even notice.

Funny, haven't come across these before, will have to keep an eye out... as long as they won't shoot laser beams or anything...

I stayed in the Marais my last visit (in March), but didn't see any of Invader's work. I must be slipping—good thing I have you!

There used to be a big one on the side of Beau Site in Nice, it's been removed though now. There is also one near Les Halles, but I can't recall the address at the moment.
