Nice photo of these old shutters. I hope that they are repaired soon, so that they do not become a thing of the past.

ADorable composition, the window also reminds me something about Italy! :)
You are an artist!
By the way about your comment: I think you are right about the Church in Troyes.In fact the Church was closed at the first time ( during the morning ), and we went back later in the afternoon. Thanks so much for your always kind comments! :)

I like the "blue' topic very much.
In Paris, unpainted shutters look cool.
In Brussels unpainted woodwork looks like neglect..

The tattered shutters do work well in Paris. I do not quite go with this level of shabbiness but I LOVE this shot!

Love it, V! I'll call this shabby chic too (though that might be a bit self-serving considering how badly my apartment is in need of painting). :~}

JB, who are you calling "charmingly decrepit!"??? LOL

Unpainted wood work looks like neglect no matter where it is found, and these are rather sad.

Old paint and shutters! Two of my favorites combined in a lovely picture.

OK, we have been charmed by the poor neglected shutters. Now it is time to go to work with a steel brush and some paint.

Thank you everyone. I'm well aware that this place could use a little spiffing up. I guess the bleu window and curtains was a draw for me. :)

Very nice catch here--thanks!

Gorgeous! There's one of my favourite numbers again, V. And I feel I'm hopelessly behind schedule on my shutter-weathering. Better hop to it.

Oh, I love these shabby shutters and the wrought iron in front of the window. I even love the curtains.
