I am curious what's inside ...

Could Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec be behind this door?

Lovely burnt shade. Lovely design. But .. what is that dodgey white 'thing' - a handle? Surely not!!

And that is the only way to grow bamboo!

Julie, I can't make out what it is either. THis is when I wish I were better in Photoshop! HA

Joe, peut-être!

Perth, Merci merci!

Wong, moi aussi.

The dodgey white 'thing' is indeed a handle, except that it's not really white. It's most likely aluminum.

It's a real beauty! (the aluminum door handle notwithstanding). Thought of you yesterday, V, when I discovered that Louis la Vache at San Francisco Bay Daily Photo has a new meme called "Portes de Lundi."

It is such a delightful surprise to walk down a street and come across such beautiful handiwork. I am not sure if this is ironwork or woodwork but the pattern is so delicate it looks like lace...and of course beautiful rouge to boot!
