Very nice shot of heart in fountain that is making me laugh about it...I can't decide if it is a balloon caught in water or a work of art...

Forgive me if I didn't provide enough information on this fountain. It is a rather eclectic installation and I will admit that I have mixed emotions regarding it. Last visit there were some rather depressing black pieces there in addition to Saint Phalle's lighthearted and colorful work. I've never seen it when all it was working at the same time. I don't know where that blame lies! I do love this one though. I hope you'll look back to other posts on this blog and the link I provided.

I still remember the very first time I saw this great fountain (and I was lucky enough that everything was working perfectly). There are some good videos on you tube.

I also have mixed feelings and yet you have taken a fabulous shot of this colorful section of the fountain. I have seen it when all of it was working... Love the action and the café scene in the background.

Well, Virginia, you have given us the happy heart and left out the bothersome parts of the scene, so I'm happy with it! What I don't know won't hurt me.

This photo made me smile. A heart representing love, beautiful colors, and splashing water!

Nicely captured! This made me smile too.

The black pieces are sculptures by Swiss artist Jean Tinguely, the husband of Niki de Saint Phalle. I´ve seen this fountain already in good and bad shape and am always curious to know how´s it doing.
