Le Moulin de la Galette

When in Montmartre last January, visiting our jewelry/textile artiste amie Shauna's lovely boutique, she suggested this restaurant for lunch. What a wonderful choice! Don't be fooled by the "touristy" location (right below the windmill). The food is delicious. I think this lovely lady on the signage at the door looks a bit like our talented Shauna.

Oh, that blue! What a wonderful surprise to find a real gem in an otherwise "touristy" location. It definitely happens though, right?

I really love rue Lepic, in general, no matter how much kitsch and tourism is in that area. It has a certain charm that is felt nowhere else in Paris! You remind me it is time for another walk around that neighborhood. Thanks, Virginia!

Shauna is a treasure and that restaurant was outstanding. I still have photos of the food - Shauna & I had gambas and they were stunning AND delicious...don't miss her boutique!

Is this the Shauna from Vancouver? I remember that post and yes this girl does resemble her!
