If memory serves, I took this photo in July, 2009. I just noticed the serpents and the bull/monkey at the bottom! The color of the door is lovely I think.

This is gorgeous, I agree. I found an engrossing knocker on Rue de Grenelles in the 7th. Shall prepare a post on RdG and include it just for tu.
Virginia -- this door is PARFAIT!!! I will make every effort to try to find it -- any clues as to where it is?? Love it.
It looks more like an angry werewolf than anything else. Maybe he doesn't like snakes.
