Dimanche Sur le Pont des Arts
This photograph was taken shortly after yesterday's Louvre shot. Strolling along the Seine that Sunday morning was a photographer's paradise! Look closely and you can see all the locks of love attached to the sides.

Questo è un ponte di Parigi pieno di fascino.
Molto bello il b&W
Buona domenica
Mauro
Beautiful exposure and composition ! Please have a beautiful Sunday.
Actually, I do not like those 'locks' of love. I think they are ugly and unremoveable. Although I hope the Mairie does remove them on a regular basis ... I have a wonderful shot of all the plastic green garbage 'bins' along the roadway of the bridge ...
Great composition and contrast. The bridge almost looks like it is suspending the houses.
Fabulous image although I have to agree I am not loving the locks.
Just MHO.

It is a beautiful shot Virginia. (I don't care either for those locks. They only add useless weight to the bridge. What a waste of ressource!)
Fantastic shot! I don't think the lock traditiion will ever go away.
Even from what I can see from this photo the people look well dressed again!!
I still can't get over that woman in the puffy coat with the belt and tights!!
Today I would love to be there, locks or no! I can enjoy the bridges regardless of their presence, though I, too, would be pleased if they weren't there.
I love the contrast of the more modern bridge structure to the historic look of the city...it does look like the bridge is holding up the city!!!
Virginia, put this shot in my most favorites category... fabulous! So the style of you-know-who (HC-B) and he would be proud.
Beautiful B&W with its lines and angle...
God bless you!

So many non-romantics. Obviously not French.
Mauro,
Thank you for your nice comment!
Starman,
Oui. You and I are the hopeless romantics as always! :?)
Genie, I loved it too. Actually have a wider, less cropped version. Wonder why I didn't use it!
Cezar and Léla, Mille mercis!
Pamela, I loved that photo and the well dressed Madame in that photo as well.
Petrea,
You are like me, love it all.
Chieftess and Joe, Yes, the buildings almost resemble a movie set!
Nadege and Karena,
Oh but to re ad the inscriptions....very sweet!
Thanks Wong!
Julie, THose damn green trash bags have ruined a lot of shots. Why do you think this is in BW ?:)
Wow -- awesome photo! One of my favorites!
I have no problem with the locks—and much prefer them as a love symbol to initials carved in a tree (for example). :~} This is easily one of the best shots I've seen of this wonderful "people's" bridge. Looove the way you featured the structural supports.
Great photo! I have to admit that I never saw these locks of love. What´s wrong with me??? Maybe I was distracted because of all the people picnicking on the bridge...
This is wonderful Virginia! I remember seeing Jeando on your blog a while back and I agree he's really great!
I took several shots of the "locks of love" when I was there. (incredibly corny name) I like them, personally. They're better than spray paint graffiti, they don't harm anything and they leave sweet messages of love. The world can always use reminders of love, IMO.
Stunning! What a gorgeous shot.
