Paris je t'aime
I fell in love with Paris in March 2007. It was as the French say, le coup de foudre : love at first sight. As a result of that trip, my photography took another direction. Since that time I have pursued a career of sorts in photography and dreamed of returning to the City of Light. November 2008 found me strolling the streets of Paris once again. My first visit I was so overwhelmed with the incredible beauty of the city, I photographed it as a "tourist". In 2008 I returned and I looked at the city with more of a photographer's eye. I wanted to capture the unique, the small details, and oh yes - the people! This blog was started as a photo diary of that trip, but I have been most fortunate to return to the city j'adore 15 times since. Each time I leave, I wipe a tear and start planning my list for the next trip. Paris may well be a moveable feast, but I think it's best savored in person! Someone told me that once you have been to Paris, you will leave a piece of your heart. I left mine right there, but I brought home some wonderful memories. It is my pleasure to share them with you.

Need a traditional French Croissant to go with the traditional Italian Coffee.
Even though the cup says Italian, I bet that it is made by Cafés Richard, written inside all the cups found in Paris cafés... cute title!
The good news is that Ive convinced my hubby and son that a week in Paris in the autumn is a great idea! We'll be needing another cup. !xxxxx

I'm going to have a cafe right now and just pretend I'm in Paris. If only I could find/make a pain au chocolat like the ones in Paris....

I just had my fourth espresso of the day. I will make myself a fifth immediately! :-)
I see I have a lot of coffee drinkers here today. My power has been off due to a bad storm so I"m not had a DROP!

In spite of its reputation for good food, Paris is one of the worst places on the planet to get a good cup of coffee, especially espresso.
Soon I'll be off to Berolino's...the European style bakery here for a latte and Quiche Lorraine!!!

Cute photo! I was just reading a blog by David Leibovitz and he explained that in Paris it isn't so easy to find a great cup of coffee. However, I am sure it is easier than in my town where Starbucks dominates.

For all of you that think the coffee in Paris leaves a lot to be desired, you've never had mine. I think the coffee in Paris is great. But then I think everything in Paris tastes better. And when you're nibbling a pain au chocolate, who cares??? :)

I love those little cups. I was lucky enough to get a nice picture, a tete a tete, when I was there in '07.
