Champagne Pour Tout le Monde

A late summer afternoon, friends gather at the Palais Royal and share some bubbly.  C'est Paris!!
( Je voudrais un verre de champagne aussi!)*

* For those who know me well, you will cackle at this.  I put that sentence together without ANY help!
It's all about priorities when you're learning a language, n'est-ce pas?

This is a heart-warming photo. It reminds me of a painting I have, of a group of people having a meal. There's someting so special about sharing food (and champagne!) together. Can you imagine drinking champagne alone...?

Love it! My Friday photo-blog post was "a toast to Friday" (wine in Italy). Champagne pour moi aussi!

Adorable shot Virginia!
ummm..for the record I think the Fr say je prends rather than the textbook je voudrais..
Well that's what I've heard tell
Either way you're right on.
Moi aussi!

Carol,
You could be right, but I"ve not gotten to PRENDRE with my French tutor so I'm using what I've got! HA At best, I usually only get in the French "ballpark". :)

Amazing what one can do when the stakes are . . . Champagne! I'm sure they would have given you some if you'd asked so politely. Love their green flutes that go with the garden chairs.

I am so impressed with your progress with the French language! Next trip, you will be walking up to such a group and conversing.....en francais!

This photo makes me want to be there.

Virginia, lovely shot of friends enjoying some bubbly together. Don't get on the grass in les jardins, but by all means, enjoy your champagne anywhere! Sounds like a plan to me and I'll get over the "keep off the grass" business!

It is a lovely language to learn, I agree. I am not sure about the voudrais vis prendre choice. Maybe if you are ordering you say 'je voudrais' whereas if you are day-dreaming you say you would take a glass, not sure. and not sure about the 'de' in front of the m noun champagne. I can never be sure if it is de, du, or des.

Enjoy trying to work it out though.

Moi aussi! That's a fine sentence to master.
