A Quiet Corner of Paris

Most visitors to Notre Dame gather in the plaza in front the church. Last June, as Meredith Mullins and I strolled the Seine in search of sunset photos, we stopped here behind the cathedral. This quiet little park is delightful. Earlier that week I photographed the roses right here when I visited the gardens with my daughter and grandchildren. Late in the day, Meredith and I found it deserted and quite peaceful. ( Maybe because it was closed? )

Tranquil, and I love the light in this, Virginia!

I, too, love that garden behind the huge Notre Dame! Especially that lovely 'vine' covered building-I believe it is the rest stop in the park.

Do you have a pic of that building?-it's really like a little fairy house.......

Such a peaceful photo. Once it's warm and sunny there will be lots of people parked here!

Love the light and shadow. It's one of my favorite spots in all of Paris—you've captured it so beautifully!

Yes, this is bueatiful little place .... and also from where I feel that you get the best view of Notre Dame! It's definitely worth the effort to make the extra paths!

Il parait que faire de la photo en noir et blanc c'est très difficile. Toutes vos photos sont réellement très belles.
